Taylor Lautner takes a beating on set of TRACERS
A serious beating is all in a day's work for Taylor Lautner in his new film Tracers. The Twilight star, 21, practiced choreographed fight sequences for his upcoming action flick Tracers in New York, taking a scripted thrashing from a muscled tough man. In the movie, Lautner plays a bike messenger named Cam who gets on the wrong side of a crime gang. The scene is likely a confrontation between Cam and some of the mob henchmen, who aren't very understanding about overdue debts. Lautner stars in the film alongside Marie Avgeropoulos, who plays love interest Nikki. Together, Cam and Nikki delve into the world of parkour, a kind of free-style urban gymnastics developed in France. -

Ho’s SNOWPIERCER Focus on the Passengers and Their Dwellings : Images
When new images are released for a film, they almost always contain the stars, and that’s been true thus far for Bong Joon-Ho’s Snowpiercer. But a new batch of images have landed online, and they take the interesting approach of mostly putting the stars aside to focus on the unnamed passengers who struggle with the class system implemented on the post-apocalyptic train. It’s a fascinating look that we usually only see in concept art, and then is quickly forgotten when the finished product is marketed to the masses. But looking at these images, I wish more movies would take this approach because I’m fascinated to see how Bong has taken a shantytown look and then redesigned it to fit inside boxcars. The film stars Chris Evans, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, Ed Harris, Ewen Bremner, Octavia Spencer, Kang-ho Song, and Ko Asung. -

' Fast & Furious 6' Blows the Doors Off Holiday Box Office With $122M in US and $275 Mn Globally
The Wrap: “Fast & Furious 6” turned its showdown with “The Hangover Part III” into a blowout, and drove the Memorial Day weekend box office into the record books.
The latest entry in Universal’s cars and criminals franchise is roaring to a $122 million four-day haul in its debut, and setting the pace for an overall box office that will top $300 million for the weekend. That easily beats the previous best Memorial Day holiday haul, which was the $276 million rung up in 2011, when “Hangover II” led the pack with $85 million.
“Fast & Furious 6” is proving a global hit, too. It opened No. 1 in 59 foreign markets and took in $158 million abroad this weekend, giving it a three-day global total of $275 million, the studio's best-ever worldwide opening.
“Fast & Furious 6” took in roughly $31 million in North America on Saturday, on the heels of its $38.1 million Friday, to leave its rivals in the dust. The muscle-car sequel dominated, averaging $8,605 on its 3,658 screens. Runner-up "The Hangover Part III" averaged $4,120 per screen in 3,555 theaters.
